Yama Vans Annual Subscriber Giveaway – Official Rules

1. Eligibility

The contest is open only to legal residents of Canada, excluding the province of Quebec, who are twenty-five (25) years of age or older at the time of entry. This age requirement, which exceeds the age of majority in most eligible jurisdictions, is required due to the rental insurance conditions governing the Prize described in Section 4.

Employees, contractors, and directors of the Sponsor, its affiliated companies, and immediate family members (spouse, parent, sibling, child) or household members of such individuals, are not eligible to enter or win.

This Contest is open only to individuals who first subscribed to the Yama Vans email list on or after September 8, 2026 (the “Eligibility Date”), and who, at the time of subscribing, completed the entry requirements described in Section 3, including checking the box confirming they are twenty-five (25) years of age or older and a Canadian resident (outside Quebec). Individuals who subscribed prior to the Eligibility Date are not eligible to enter and will not be added to the Contest, regardless of their continued subscriber status, unless they unsubscribe and voluntarily resubscribe on or after the Eligibility Date and complete the entry requirements described in Section 3.

The Contest is void in Quebec and wherever prohibited or restricted by law. By entering, entrants confirm their province or territory of residence, and confirm they are not a resident of Quebec.

The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entrant, at any time, who the Sponsor determines, in its sole discretion, has provided false, inaccurate, or misleading information regarding their eligibility, including as to residency or age, or who has otherwise attempted to circumvent these Official Rules.

2. Contest Period

This Contest runs on a continuous, rolling basis, with one draw held annually, on or about December 10 each year (each, a “Draw). All eligible entrants (as defined in Section 3) as of December 9, 11:59 pm MST preceding each Draw are automatically included in that year’s Draw, with no re-entry required in subsequent years.

The Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, elect not to hold a Draw in any given year or discontinue the Contest permanently following any Draw, with reasonable notice posted on the Sponsor’s website. Discontinuation of the Contest does not affect the Sponsor’s obligation to complete any Draw already underway or to fulfill a Prize already awarded.

3. How to Enter

No purchase is necessary. Subscribing to the Yama Vans email list alone does not enter an individual in the Contest. To be entered, an individual must, at the time of subscribing on or after the Eligibility Date, provide their province or territory of residence and confirm they are twenty-five (25) years of age or older, via the required fields on the Sponsor’s sign-up form. Individuals who meet these requirements and the eligibility criteria in Section 1 are automatically entered and remain entered for all future annual Draws unless they unsubscribe, withdraw consent, or are found to no longer meet the eligibility requirements in Section 1. One entry per person, regardless of how long the individual has been subscribed.

4. Prize

One (1) winner will receive a three (3) night rental of a Yama Vans camper van (the “Prize”), with an approximate retail value of $2,500 CAD. Exact dates are subject to availability and the Sponsor’s standard rental terms and conditions. The Prize has no cash alternative, is not transferable, and cannot be substituted, except at the Sponsor’s sole discretion in the event of unavailability, in which case a prize of equal or greater value may be substituted.

The winner is solely responsible for picking up and returning the vehicle at the Sponsor’s location in Calgary, Alberta, including any travel, transportation, or accommodation costs associated with getting to or from Calgary. The Prize does not include any such travel costs.

In order to use the Prize, the winner must hold a valid driver’s license, in good standing and recognized in the jurisdiction where the rental takes place, and must otherwise meet the requirements of the Sponsor’s rental insurance policy. If the winner does not hold a valid license or does not otherwise meet the Sponsor’s insurance requirements, the winner may designate one (1) alternate individual to act as the driver of record, provided that individual also meets the eligibility and insurance requirements set out in this Section and Section 1 (including being twenty-five (25) years of age or older and holding a valid, recognized driver’s license), subject to the Sponsor’s review and approval. If no qualifying driver, whether the winner or a designated alternate, is confirmed, the Prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner selected in accordance with Section 7.

Total number of prizes available: one (1) per Contest Period.

5. Winner Selection and Odds

The winner will be selected by random draw from all eligible entries on or about December 10, at the Sponsor’s offices in Calgary, Alberta. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.

6. Skill-Testing Question

Before being declared a winner, the selected entrant must correctly answer, unaided, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question administered by the Sponsor. This requirement applies regardless of the entrant’s province or territory of residence.

7. Winner Notification

The potential winner will be notified by email using the address on file within 5 business days of the draw. The potential winner must respond and correctly answer the skill testing question, and sign and return a Declaration of Eligibility and Release of Liability (the “Declaration”) confirming they meet the eligibility requirements in Section 1, agree to these Official Rules, and release the Sponsor as described in Section 11, all within 7 days of notification. If the potential winner fails to respond, fails the skill-testing question, does not return the signed Declaration within the required time, or is found not to meet the eligibility requirements, the prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner selected from the remaining eligible entries, time permitting.

8. Publicity Release

Except where prohibited by law, signing the Declaration described in Section 7 constitutes the winner’s consent to the Sponsor’s use of their first name, city/town, and province or state of residence for promotional purposes related to the Contest, in any media, without further compensation or notice.

9. Privacy

Personal information collected for the purposes of this Contest will be used solely to administer the Contest (entry validation, winner selection, and notification) and will be handled in accordance with the Sponsor’s Privacy Policy, available here.

10. Winners List

The name of the winner will be available upon request by emailing connect@yamavans.com for 90 days following the draw date.

11. General Conditions

The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the Contest should a virus, bug, unauthorized human intervention, or other cause beyond the Sponsor’s reasonable control corrupt the administration, security, or proper play of the Contest.

The Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, misdirected, or illegible entries, or for technical failures of any kind, including malfunction of any network, hardware, or software.

By entering, entrants agree to release and hold harmless the Sponsor, its affiliates, and their respective directors, officers, employees, and agents from any liability, injury, loss, or damage of any kind arising from participation in the Contest or acceptance, use, or misuse of the Prize.

This Contest is governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
