Yes. We facilitate the entire process to ensure every build starts on the right foundation. Yama requires a “Yama-Spec” Sprinter, a chassis configured with the specifications our builds demand.
You will purchase the van directly from Mercedes, while we manage the coordination, logistics, and secure storage at Yama HQ until your build begins.
If you already purchased your new Sprinter, reach out to us. In some cases, we may be able to help if it meets the required specifications. For new clients, sourcing the Yama-Spec chassis through our partners is the first step in our process.
We’re typically booking 4 to 7 months out, so it’s best to start the conversation early.
Once your build enters production, it takes 8 to 10 weeks to complete your van.
We specialize in end-to-end manufacturing of Class B adventure vans on the AWD Mercedes Sprinter chassis.
Through our Bay4 Aftermarket Division, we also offer upgrades and gear installations for all Sprinter-based RVs and campers — not just Yama builds.
We do not offer partial conversions (e.g. electrical, plumbing, or cabinetry-only services).
Our vans and services are available to both Canadian and American clients.
Our models are pre-engineered for safety, serviceability, and functionality, which is why they generally stay as they are. This ensures your van not only looks great but performs reliably for years to come.
Occasionally, we’ll take on fully custom builds for people whose needs fall outside of our models. These require more design and engineering time, which can mean longer timelines and higher costs. Small tweaks to our models may also be possible, but even minor changes can affect safety and performance, so we review each request carefully.
